About this Event
140 Hospital Drive, Charlottesville, Va, 22903
In conjunction with the Mayo Center for Asset Management at UVA's Darden School, the Center for Investors and Financial Markets (CIFM) brings top scholars from around the world to Grounds to share their research in finance and economics. The two centers alternate hosting the visits and their seminars between the McIntire School of Commerce School and Darden, increasing collaboration and networking between UVA faculty at the two schools.
This session will feature Jack Favilukis, an Associate Professor of Finance at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Professor Favilukis’s research focuses on incomplete markets, household heterogeneity and inequality, labor market frictions, and the interaction between finance and real estate. His work explores how these structural features shape economic outcomes and financial decision-making. This event offers faculty and staff the chance to engage with a scholar whose research provides valuable insight into some of the most fundamental frictions and forces influencing modern financial markets and the broader economy.
