The Galant Challenge Program connects seed through Series A ventures from the UVA community to potential investors, providing a high-impact experience for early-stage founders as well as UVA students seeking to learn how successful startups evolve.

The 2026 Challenge Showcase on Thursday, April 23, will feature three distinct and complimentary components:

• A demonstration/poster session in the Shumway Innovation Gallery (second floor) from 2 to 7 p.m., featuring dozens of students teams and organized by The Foundry;

• A VC panel discussion designed for a student audience in Shumway Hall 120 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.; and

• The Galant Challenge Showcase in the Shumway Hall Atrium from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring a handful of ventures actively seeking capital and investor relationships, and poised for scale.
